We spent the first week of May celebrating all the people who make Sunland a safe, supportive environment for our students. From our wonderful teachers, classroom aides, support staff, plant manager, custodians, bus drivers, and administration, to everyone who also keeps our school running, we made sure to show them the love from the Sunland ES community.

Sunland Starbucks on Foothill Blvd generously donated coffee and pastries, many families generously donated cash in our bucket drop along the valet line, and we used these funds to celebrate them all.

On Monday, we had sandwiches, salads, and desserts for lunch.

Tuesday’s theme was Sip Sip Hooray! Coffee, tea, and pastries during recess.

Wednesday we said “Thanks for keeping us afloat!” with drinks and mini floats, and chips to snack on.

Thursday allowed us to thank everyone for planting the seeds of knowledge and helping our students grow. We had a selection of flower and vegetable seeds, and popcorn to go.

On Friday we cheered by saying “Brew made it to Friday!” with coffee, treats, and other snacks.
